Denver Zoo –
Entrance and Wayfinding
Denver Zoo is the most visited cultural attraction in the state of Colorado. The redesign of its entry identity and wayfinding systems provides visitors with both an introduction to the zoo and continued navigation through its 80-acre site. From the drive entry through ticketing and into the exhibits, the identity of the zoo needed to closely coordinate with the design of the several new buildings that provide guest services, retail, restrooms and offices.
Work included wayfinding systems, building identity design, direction and design of twenty-two life size stainless steel animal sculptures, and adaptive reuse of intra-zoo wayfinding structures with new graphics systems.
