The Colorado Chautauqua is locally referred to as “the jewel in Boulder’s crown”. This 80-acre National Historic Landmark is a treasure to West and a living testimony to the importance of the chautauqua movement in the early 20th century to American’s from sea to sea. Yet, its rich history had been largely untold on the site to its many casual visitors.
Work included the creation of a city-ratified signage standard for wayfinding and interpretation and master plan for site-wide implementation. Wayside signage and a ten stop audio tour were written, designed and produced.
Two of the audio tour stops are provided, below. Click here for access to the Chautauqua’s web portal to the full tour.
