4 Senses Accessible Trail

4 Senses Accessible Trail

The City of Boulder wanted to reach out to its audience of visually impaired Open Space users. An accessible trail was developed that is both meeting the highest level of accessibility as well as an opportunity to teach fully abled users to pay attention to senses other than sight. the trail uses content, touchable elements, design and themes that are all about smell, touch and taste. A rope walk helps assist users to activity stations that expand one’s experiences and enlightens our views of the natural world.
